The Wind Creek Casino in Wetumpka, Alabama consists of 85,000 square feet of gaming floor, high roller room and five unique restaurants. The design intent of this complex was the flow of wind and movement of water that has shaped the Tribe's culture. Bold planes of light accented with flowing crystal are a reflection of this concept and a nod to the Tribe's Native American ribbon dance. Tall translucent cylinders and crystal lattice spiral off the columns suggest the dancer's swirling fringe. A 16,000 gallon shark tank within the center bar completes the connection to water and provides a focal point for the casino. Michelle's role on this project was Lead Lighting Designer with CLD-E and was awarded an IESNA IA Award of Merit.
