The Wind Creek Montgomery’s Casino and Hotel captures the blues atmosphere of Beale Street with an impactful ceiling element that represents the streetscape’s sky. Taking inspiration from Van Gogh’s Starry Night, color changing lighting swirls across the ceiling centered around raindrop pendant clusters. Custom street lights, neon signs, textural spot lighting, and tree string lights all add layered depth to the casino's design. The vintage, musical theme carries throughout the project with a playful Edison style sculpture focusing the hotel lobby and sparkly spheres in the high limit gaming, all against the backdrop of colorful illumination. Michelle's role on was Lead Lighting Designer with CLD-E and was awarded an IESNA IA Award of Excellence.
